Medprep Consulting Inc. put on hold due to mold

On March 16th, 2013, Medprep Consulting Inc. issued a voluntary recall for all of their compounded drugs due to possible mold contamination.  This recall occurred due to a report from a hospital in Connecticut that found mold particles in a bag of Magnesium Sulfate, 2 grams in Dextrose 5% in water, 50ML for Injection.  Since then, five contaminated bags have been reported.  Medprep Consulting Inc. decided to err on the side of caution as the recall applies to all of their products.  Their stated reason for the recall, aside from the potential mold contamination, is lack of sterility assurance.
