Zi Xiu Tang Success, LLC Recalls Dietary Supplements

zi xiu bee pollenSibutramine has been a controversial weight loss supplement for years that had been removed from the U.S. market in 2010 for the serious health risks that this substance poses. Sibutramine has been known to significantly raise blood pressure and a patients heart rate which may result in adverse reactions.Recently this supplement was found to be contained in the Classic Zi Xiu Tang Bee Pollen capsules and Ultimate Formula capsules. After finding that these weight loss treatments contained sibutramine that had not been noted before, Trexlertown, PA, Zi Xiu Tang Success, LLC voluntarily recalled these products on October 24, 2012.

Since Sibutramine had not been declared as an ingredient in the Classic Zi Xiu Tang Bee Pollen Capsules and Ultimate Formula Capsules, these medicines are now listed as unapproved FDA drugs.

The recalled products of Classic Zi Xiu Tang were distributed:

  • as 60 capsules packaged in a bottle
  • from lot numbers 04/15/2012, 05/15/2012, 06/15/2012 and 07/15/2012
  • between May 1, 2012 and October 17, 2012

The second product involved in the recall, The Ultimate Formula capsules were distributed:

  • as bottles filled with 49 capsules
  • from lot numbers 05/25/2012, 07/29/2012 and 08/05/2012
  • during May 1, 2012 to October 17, 2012.

For recalled Classic Zi Xiu Tang Bee Pollen capsules and Ultimate Formula capsules, end use of the product and call  Zi Xiu Success, LLC at 800-764-0120 or email [email protected]. Patients should not use these recalled weight loss products and should immediately contact Zi Xiu Success in order to return the supplements.
