Serious Side Effects of Medrol

  • Contact your doctor immediately if you experience a skin rash, swelling of the face or lower legs, seizures, problems with your vision, excessive weakness in the muscles, a cold that lasts longer than usual, coughing up blood, or black/tarry stool.
  • Report any unusual weight gain to your doctor.
  • Extended use of a corticosteroid can produce cataracts, glaucoma with a possibility of never damage, and contribute to eye infections.
  • If you have any signs of an infection, talk to your doctor. Symptoms can include extended fever, cough or sore throat, pain when urinating, and pain or discharge of the ye.

Common Side Effects of Medrol

  • Medrol may cause your stomach to be come upset, other stomach irritations, and vomiting.
  • While taking Medrol you may experience headaches, dizziness, trouble sleeping, restlessness, depression, mood swings and anxiety.
  • Medrol can cause outbreaks of acne, an increase in hair growth, and make you susceptible to bruising.
  • Menstrual periods can become irregular when taking Medrol.
  • Diabetic patients may experience an increase in blood sugar levels. Adjust your diabetes medication or diet to compensate.
