Before you are given Ultiva
- Tell your doctor if you have a history of head trauma, lung disease, or allergies to other opioid medications.
- Inform your doctor if you are currently taking or have taken within the month prior to receiving Ultiva, a narcotic pain medication, anxiety or depression medication (Zoloft, Celexa, Viibryd, etc…), any psychiatric drug (especially an MAOI), or muscle relaxer.
- Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Ultiva is a Pregnancy Class C drug, which means that there is evidence to support exercising caution when taking this drug while pregnant.
