Nora Apothecary & Alternative Therapies Recall Sterile Compound Medications

En Español

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration routinely inspects medical products and processes used by manufacturers to ensure safety for patients. For Nora Apothecary & Alternative Therapies, these inspections led officials to become concerned over the quality and sterility of the medications compounded and distributed in their facilities. On April 22, 2013 Nora Apothecary & Alternative Therapies recalled lots of sterile medications compounded and distributed at the pharmacy.

This recall is being conducted as a precaution to guarantee safety for patients. Recalled products which may not be sterile could cause an infection in anyone who takes the product.

Which Products Are Being Recalled?

Medicines being withdrawn were distributed on or before the date of April 19, 2013. Recalled medications were supplied to medical professionals and patients in Illinois, Florida, Tennessee, Ohio and Indiana. A list of specific recalled products may be found here.
