Apri | Desogestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol is an oral contraceptive which is used to prevent pregnancy. Apri consists of several female hormones which work to prevent ovulation. By preventing the release of an egg from the ovaries, Apri is able to effectively halt unwanted pregnancies. Apri also works by altering the mucus found in the cervix, as well as the lining of the uterus. This makes it difficult for sperm to advance to the uterus, and for fertilized eggs to attach themselves to the uterine lining.
Apri | Desogetrel and Ethinyl Estradiol comes as a daily tablet that is part of a 28 day regimen that comes with seven reminder pills. Apri must be taken every day to ensure the maximum desired results.
