- Benzaclin may lighten hair and colored fabrics. Try to keep the gel from getting in your hair, clothes, towels, or bed sheets.
- Avoid using products that can irritate the skin. These products include hair coloring, hair removers, waxes, and products that contain alcohol or astringents.
Benzaclin Treatment and Use
BenzaClin | clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide is a topical gel used to treat mild or moderate acne. In one study, Benzaclin is a retinoid-like compound that been has shown to work faster than another acne medication known as Differin | adapalene.
How does BenzaClin Work?
The benzoyl peroxide in BenzaClin reduces acne inflammation and drys oils found in the skin that contribute to acne. Clindamycin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria and also decreases inflammation from acne.
BenzaClin Dosage Information
BenzaClin is applied once in the morning and once in the evening.
Before application, wash your face with warm water and pat dry. Use a thin, even layer of BenzaClin over the area you wish to treat. If you later see a white film over the area, you have applied too much.
Wash your hands after applying the medication.
It may take up to six weeks for visible results to appear and up to three months to see the maximum benefit of BenzaClin.
