Clobex Treatment and Use
Clobex | clobetasol propionate (Galderma Laboratories) is a treatment that comes as a shampoo, spray, or lotion and is used to treat psoriasis and other skin and scalp conditions. This medication works by reducing the swelling, itching, and redness associated with the skin conditions that it treats.
Clobex | clobetasol is an extremely potent topical corticosteroid that is used to treat persons 18 years of age or older with severe plaque psoriasis that covers up to 20% of the surface of the body. Because of the potency of this medication, it is recommended that treatment only last for up to a period of 4 weeks.
This corticosteroid psoriasis treatment is not approved for use in patients under 18 years of age due to a greater potential of Clobex side effects.
Clobex for psoriasis side effects
Clobex | clobetasol propionate may pass through the skin and affect the adrenal glands. Clobex adrenal gland side effects may include nausea, vomiting, fever, hypotension, heart attack, and death.
