DDAVP Treatment and Use
DDAVP | Desmopressin Oral is an oral medication in tablet form, used in the regulation of diabetes insipidus, in which the body produces excessive and unnatural amounts of urine. DDAVP can help control extreme thirst and the resulting amount of urine. It is also used to help keep you from wetting the bed.
How it Works:
DDAVP is a hormone medication, which replaces a hormone called vasopressin that would typically be generated to maintain water and salt levels in the body. It is taken orally, in tablet form, two or three times in a day, but the dosage depends on what symptoms you are trying to regulate.
