Desmopressin Treatment and Use
Desmopressin is used to control the symptoms of diabetes insipidus, which causes bed wetting due to the body producing an abnormally large amount of urine. It is used to control bed-wetting. Desmopressin is a hormone medication.
How it Works:
Desmopressin is also used in the controling of excessive thirst and the passage of an abnormally large amount of urine that can be attributed to head injuries or post surgery. Desmopressin works by replacing vasopressin, which is produces to balance water and salt.
