Detrol LA can cause the following adverse side effects:

Detrol LA is contraindicated in patients with gastric retention, urinary retention, myasthenia gravis and uncontrollable narrow-angle glaucoma. Its also contraindicated in patients who’ve got hypersensitivity to its ingredients.Although there hasn’t been a recall initiated by the FDA or a voluntary recall by Pfizer regarding Detrol LA, in April of 2009, the FDA had mandated that there should be a change on the labeling of Detrol LA to reflect side effects such as drowsiness and blurred vision.

Detrol LA | Tolterodine is an antimuscarinic drug that’s used to treat urinary incontinence, or overactive bladder. The drug company Pfizer markets and produces it in the US and has FDA approval. It helps by calming the bladder muscle which can often make overactive bladder a problem for many. It works up to 24 hours within intake, comes in a pill that’s taken once a day with or without food, and is covered by most health plans and insurance.
