- Those with a medical history of heart disease, sickle cell anemia, spleen problems, or blood or skin disorders should consult a physician before taking Neupogen.
- Neupogen should not be taken in conjunction with radiation therapy, and you should let your doctor know if you plan to undergo radiation while using Neupogen.

Neupogen | Filgrastim is an injectable solution manufactured by Amgen that comes from a class of medications known as colony-stimulating factors. Neupogen works to encourage the growth of white blood cells, which fight infection.
Neupogen | Filgrastim has been approved for the treatment of
- Neutropenia, a deficiency in white blood cells caused by certain cancers
- Decrease in white blood cells caused by chemotherapy and related medications
- Patients who are undergoing bone marrow transplants
Neupogen is also used in the preparation of blood for leukapheresis treatment.
