Protopic Treatment and Use
Protopic | tacrolimus is a topical calcineurin inhibitor marketed by Astrellas and used to treat eczema and related forms of dermatitis.
Protopic comes in ointment form and is available in a 0.1% (for adults and children 15 years and older) and 0.03% (for children 2-15 years old) strengths. The smallest amount possible is to be used on the eczema affected skin areas.
Do not bathe or swim shortly after applying Protopic | tacrolimus ointment as this may wash off the medication.
