- anorexia
- seizures
- viral infection
- easy bruising or bleeding, such as nosebleeds or gum bleeding
- pain or burning during urination
- dark urine
- jaundice
- clay-colored stools
- upper stomach pain

Warnings & Recalls for Temodar
Temodar should not be used in patients who have a history of hypersensitivity, or who are allergic to temozolomide or dacarbazine (DTIC-Dome).Patients who are pregnant should not use Temodar, as this medication can cause abnormalities in an unformed fetus.Temodar has been shown to cause the following rare, but serious conditions:
- Myelosuppression, which can result in aplastic anemia and be potentially fatal
- Myelodysplastic syndrome
- Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia, which is more likely to occur in patients who take Temodar for an extended period of time
Patients with a history of kidney or liver disease should consult their doctor before using Temodar.

Temodar is a chemotherapy medication which works by inhibiting the reproduction and spread of cancerous cells in the body. Temodar is often used for the treatment of tumors, and prevents the division of cancerous cells to gradually shrink the tumor.
