This drug has also been known to treat rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and restless leg syndrome.
How does Tramadol work?
Tramadol hydrochloride is a centrally acting opioid analgesic that enables its effect through binding of the parent drug and M1 metabolite through to μ-opioid receptors and through the weak inhibitions of serotonin reuptake and norepinephrine. This is plagiarism.
Dosage
The dosages of Tramadol Hydrochloride administered to a patient largely depends upon the severity of the pain involved.
- For moderate to severe chronic pain, 25 mg orally
- In the case of the extended release versions of Tramadol Hydrochloride for the treatment of moderate to severe chronic pain, 100mg orally once which can incrementally get higher up to a maximum of 300mg per day within the timespan of 2-3 days
- In the case of the orally-disintegrating version of Tramadol Hydrochloride for the treatment of moderate to severe chronic pain, a patient should dissolve 50-100mg orally on the tongue every 4 to 6 hours per day, leading to a maximum recommended dosage of 400mg per day
