Ultracet Treatment and Use
Ultracet | Acetaminophen and Tramadol is combination used to treat pain that ranges from moderate all the way to severe. Tramadol is actually a narcotic type pain relief substance, and Acetaminophen is a somewhat less potent kind of pain relief, but it is used to enhance the effects of Tramadol.
Ultracet may be habit forming, and therefore should only be used as prescribed by your doctor. The maximum amount of Ultracet is 2 tablets per dose, and up to 8 tablets a day. Tramadol and acetaminophen are not meant to be used for a longer duration than 5 consecutive days. Ultracet can be taken with or without food, but it is imperative that you take it around the same time each day that you are taking it.
Do not stop using this medication suddenly, as you will experience withdrawal symptoms. Do not overdose on this medication. Do not drink alcohol while on this medication.
