Vioxx Treatment and Use
Vioxx | Rofecoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory manufactured by Merck & Co. for the treatment of pain brought on by osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and specific forms of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Viox has also been used in the treatment of acute pain, migraines, and menstrual pain.
Unlike its anti-inflammatory predecessors, Vioxx works by targeting and inhibiting specific enzymes in the body without causing serious side effects such as dangerous stomach ulcers.
