Viracept Treatment and Use
Viracept | Nelfinavir is used in a combination with other medications in the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Viracept is a protease inhibitor medication.
How it Works:
Viracept decreases the amount of the human immunodeficiency virus in the blood stream, but does not cure HIV. It may, however, decrease the likeliness of patients suffering from HIV from acquiring acquired immunodeficiency syndrome or other HIV related illness, such as cancer or other infection. Using this medication in a combination of safer sex habits, may even decrease the risk of transmitting HIV to others.
