In a study of 15 people over 8 weeks, those taking the placebo saw an increase in both upper and lower body muscle strength, whereas those taking the supplement only recorded an increase in lower body strength.

This supplement may cause problems in men with prostate problems. It may enlarge the prostate which may increase the risk of prostate cancer or worsen existing prostate cancer. Patients with pre-existing prostate problems should consult a doctor before use.

It is unknown whether this supplement will pass through breast milk therefore nursing mothers are advised to not take Bulgarian Tribulus unless told to do so by their doctor.
