Coreg CR Treatment and Use
Coreg CR | Carvedilol is a drug that’s a nonselective beta blocker / alpha-1 blocker that’s used for the treatment of mild to severe congestive heart failure. It is marketed by GlaxoSmithKline in the US and has been used as a controlled-release formulation and has been hailed as a pioneer drug therapy for congestive heart failure. It has shown to slow the rhythm of the heart and reduces the force associated with a congestive heart failure patient’s heart pumping which in turn lowers blood pressure by alleviating the overuse of the heart, which is proven to be beneficial to heart failure patients.
Coreg CR comes in capsules of strengths of 10, 20, 40, 80 mg.
