Benazepril Treatment and Use
Benazepril is used sometimes by itself and sometimes with other kinds of medication in the treatment of high blood pressure. Benazepril is a type of medication known as angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors.
How it Works:
Benazepril is used to decrease the chemicals that thicken or constrict blood vessels, so that blood can flow from the body more smoothly.
Dosing Information:
The drug is taken by mouth, usually once or even twice a day, sometimes with and sometimes without food. In order to make taking the drug easier, it is best to take it around the same time. Ask your doctor to help you decide what is best for you, and remember to never take more than prescribed by your doctor. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it, but never double up on a dose.
