Boniva Treatment and Use
Boniva | Ibandronate is an oral tablet used to prevent and treat osteoporosis brought on by menopause in women. As a member of the medication class known as biphosphonates, Boniva is similar to the drug Fosamax in the way in which it treats osteoporosis.
By increasing bone density, Boniva works to prevent bones from breaking down. Although Boniva helps manage osteoporosis it is not a cure for the disease, and it must be taken regularly to achieve the desired results.
