Cephalexin Treatment and Use
Cephalexin | is a cephalosporin antibiotic, and is used in the treatment of certain kinds of infections that are caused by bacterias like pneumonia and bone infections, ear infections, and skin or urinary tract infections.
Warning: Do not use Cephalexin if you are allergic to cephalexin, the active ingredient, or to other similar antibiotics like Ceclor, Ceftin, Cefzil, Duricef, Fortaz, Omnicef, Spectracef, Suprax, or others. Before using Cephalexin, inform your doctor of any allergies to drugs like penicillins, or if you have kidney or liver disease, a stomach or intestinal disorders, diabetes, or if you are malnourished. Do not stop taking this medication once prescribed, unless instructed to do so by your doctor. Symptoms may get better before the infection is completely treated.
