Fioricet | acetaminophen, butalbital, and caffeine is a combination medication manufactured by Watson Laboratories as an oral capsule and tablet. Fioricet consists of 3 different types of medications, which are:

• Butalbital | a barbiturate used to relax muscles
• Caffeine | a stimulant that improves blood flow

Fioricet | acetaminophen, butalbital, and caffeine has been approved for the relief of tension headaches cause by muscle contractions. Fioricet has also been prescribed for the treatment of migraines.

Fioricet is approved for use in adults and children over the age of 12, and one dose should be taken every 4 hours as needed.
