How does Vascepa work?
Vascepa decreases the body’s ability to create triglycerides. Within the liver, it reduces the synthesis of lipids. Vascepa also increases the production of the enzyme that processes the triglycerides.

Vascepa is taken in two-capsule doses once a day with food. Do not take more than is prescribed by your doctor. In addition to taking Vascepa, changes to diet and exercise should continue during medication to help decrease triglyceride levels.
